WELCOME TO THE WINCHESTER POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Winchester Police Department has a proud history in Central Kentucky. The department consists of 34 sworn peace officers, 11 communications officers, 2 parking enforcement personnel, and 2 civilian support personnel. The 911 communications center for all of Clark County is housed and staffed in the department.

MISSION STATEMENT We, the members of the Winchester Police Department, in partnership with all members of our community, strive for an excellence in professional law enforcement service. Our goal is to protect life and property and to instill a feeling of safety in all our citizens. The Officers of the Winchester Police Department will accomplish this mission through a higher level of criminal prevention, investigation, and apprehension in accordance with the laws of the City of Winchester and the Commonwealth of Kentucky. |
